Kemin Industries was formed in 1961 by Mr. R W Nelson in Des Moines , Iowa , USA . Kemin was earlier known as Chemical Industries Inc., which was changed to Kemin Industries Inc in 1964. Later in 1972 we expanded to Europe based at Herentals , Belgium and the next footstep was in Asia based at Singapore in 1982.

Now, Kemin is a recognized leader in the manufacture of specialty ingredients and equipments catering to the human, poultry, dairy, aqua, pets and swine industry for improving the productivity & to enhance economic returns. Kemin recognizes its customers as their partners in business thus working towards achieving mutually beneficial output.

For more than 45 years, the Kemin organization has grown & evolved, developing state of the art research labs, extensive production facilities and sales offices in far reaching corners of the world. Today Kemin has 8 plants & is present in 75 countries around the world with 700 employees and the sales in excess of $ 160 million. The eight manufacturing plants are in the USA , Belgium , Singapore , China & India .

Kemin Nutritional Technologies ( India ) Pvt. Ltd (Also known as KEMIN AGRI FOODS INDIA -KAI ) is a 100 % subsidiary of Kemin Industries Inc, a global leader in Food and Feed additives providing Nutritional solutions for a changing World. In 1990, Kemin introduced its products for the Poultry industry in the Indian Subcontinent through distributors. Later in 1997, realizing the need for providing specialty products & Customized services, Kemin Nutritional Technologies ( India ) Pvt. Ltd . was established in Chennai.

When KNT was incorporated in 1997, efforts were made to change the way feed additives were sold in the country. It focused on educating Indian poultry farmers about new scientific concepts which were hitherto unheard of in the country and which would enhance farm productivity. The launch of new concepts started with antioxidant products and programs that formed the anchor for KAI’s future development in the subcontinent. The phenomenon which grabbed the most attention, however, was the concept of water activity pertaining to mould infestation and nutritional deterioration of raw materials and finished feed. In India , 10% of produced grain is lost due to mould infestation. Well-structured technical sessions, named as Kemin Kontact is organized around the country on water activity which became the foundation for MYCOCURB ® brand of mould inhibitors.

Today, KAI is a customer-focused organization with a world class manufacturing and state- of - the art R&D facilities in Gummidipundi, near Chennai on the South-eastern coast of India, this is the fourth manufacturing facility for Kemin worldwide after the US, Belgium and Singapore. We have systematically developed our business in India by educating the Industry about new concepts & products, offering continuous technical service and value addition.

Kemin is specialized in antioxidants, mould inhibitors, antimicrobials, flavours, pigments, enzymes, gluconeogenic, acidifiers, crop preservatives, surfactants, binders and organic minerals. Kemin manufacturers and markets 750 products in these categories around the globe.

Poultry & Aqua product range include ENDOX TM & RENDOX TM brand of antioxidant provide multistage antioxidant system for complete control of autoxidation in feed, raw material, premixes, oils and fats. MYCOCURB ® brand of mould inhibitors effectively curbs the growth & propagation of wide range of mould infesting feed and raw material.
