A study was conducted with a sample size of 120 farmers of 12 villages of 4 districts in north Karnataka. The data were collected through a structured interview schedule and subjected to statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that mass media exposure, extension agency contact, family educational status, risk bearing, flock size and experience in poultry farming were significantly positively correlated with adoption of scientific poultry production practices (p<0.01). Age, family size, caste and religion were not significantly associated with adoption of technologies. Regression analysis revealed that only mass media exposure, extension agency contact and risk bearing have contributed significantly to explain 54 % variation in adoption of technologies.
