The present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of probiotics on growth performances, FCE and mortality rate of Vanaraja birds in complete intensive system at farm level. Two hundred-day-old Vanaraja immunized chicks were equally divided into two groups namely (A) probiotics group and conventional fed group (control B). Group (A) was fed with commercial broiler ration with addition of probiotics (Floraboost) @ 1kg/tonne of feed and group B was fed with commercial broiler ration. The study revealed that the growth rate were significantly (P<0.01) higher in experimental group (A) as compared to control group (B), FCE in experimental groups were 1.95 as compared to 2.20 in control group and mortality rate in experimental birds were 3% as compared to 8% in control group. The result of the study thus revealed that probiotics supplementation in the ration of Vanaraja birds promoted growth and feed conversion efficiency and reduced the mortality rate.
