A 12 weeks feeding trial with 72 layers was conducted to evaluate the influence of chromium picolinate supplementation on egg quality parameters. Layers were randomly distributed to 3 treatment groups consisting of 2 replicates of 12 layers each. The treatment groups were control, T1 and T2. Layers of control group were provided plain water while those of T1 and T2 were provided water containing chromium picolinate @ 1,000 and 2,000 ppb chromium. Trial period was divided into 3 phases i.e. phase I, phase II and phase III each of 4 weeks duration to study egg quality parameters. At the end of each phase, 3 eggs per replicate were used for 3 consecutive days to study the egg quality parameters. The results of the trial during different phases as well as for overall period showed that chromium picolinate supplementation had no significant effect on shape index, albumen index and yolk index but Haugh unit was improved.
