Production performance of broilers by feeding antibiotic and probiotic in broiler diet

An experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of feeding antibiotic and probiotic on broiler performance. Body weight of the broilers was significantly (P< 0.01) influenced by all the dietary supplementation. Significantly (P<0.01) lesser feed was consumed by the birds raised on probiotic supplemented diet. Dietary supplementation of antibiotic and probiotic either independently or simultaneously improved the feed efficiency significantly (P<0.01) when compared to control. Dietary supplementation of probiotic and antibiotic increased the livability percentage of broilers.
