Launch of Vetnex – The Next Generation Veterinary Solutions
Former Ranbaxy Animal Healthcare division was relaunched as RFCL’s Vetnex, the Next Generation Veterinary Solutions at the First All India Distributors’ Meet held at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad on May 21-22, 2006 for Livestock and Canine Division and on May 23-24, 2006 for the Poultry Division.
This Meet was attended by over 400 of the leading distributor agents, the main drivers of veterinary business in India. The event, the first of its kind witnessed by the Veterinary industry, was an interactive business forum and a new step towards expanding business potentials.
The Animal Healthcare business was set up by Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited in 1985 with a motto to bring more farm wealth through better animal health. In over two decades, this business pioneered the launch of many innovative formulations and trusted brands in the Poultry, Livestock and Companion Animals business. These include the following:
Poultry: Enrocin (Enrofloxacin), BMD, Check-o-Tox and Albac
Livestock: Enrocin, Capsola, Neoprofen, Suprazole and Ranmix Total

Vetnex – Global Expansion Plans
Ranbaxy Animal Healthcare initiated export of animal healthcare products to neighbouring countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in 2002 and the division has built business alliances across Middle East, Africa, South Asia and CIS countries. Renamed as Vetnex Exports, the division has a greater focus towards exploring new global business opportunities Recent participation in international exhibitions like Arab Lab in UAE helped Vetnex Exports initiate dialogue for new alliances.
