Indication
Intestinal and caecal coccidiosis in poultry and livestock.  Pullorum disease and other  infections like Salmonellosis, fowl cholera, pigeon paratyphoid, coryza, secondary bacterial infections after viral diseases.
Composition
Each gm contains :
Sodium salt of (P) - toluenesulphonyl       0.55 gm
betamethoxyethylurethane
Tetracycline hydrochloride      0.05 gm
Crystalline lactose                    0.375 gm
Dried sodium bisulphite          0.025 gm

When the first sign of the disease appear, 4 gm of codrinal is to be added to one litre of drinking water and administered to the ailing birds.  Birds readily take it in drinking water.  During the treatment they should not have access to any other water.  Treatment should be continued for 2 to 4 days, depending upon the severity of infection.  The medicated water should be renewed daily.  For prevention, 1 g of Codrinal is to be added per litre of drinking water and it can be given as long as needed.
